Ministry of Environment, Red Sea Development sign deal to maintain waterfront sustainability

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with The Red Sea Development Company (TRSDC) to maintain the environmental sustainability of the Red Sea’s waterfront, preserve the natural habitats, and ensure that the development processes do not impact the its ecosystem.

 

In a statement, the ministry said that the two parties will cooperate to facilitate the necessary measures for receiving the project permits, in line with the environmental compliance standards applicable in the Kingdom.

 

Osama Faqeeha, the deputy minister of environmental affairs, said the ministry seeks to provide a vast array of knowledge and expertise in sustainability to ensure all companies are accredited to the highest standards.
