ACWA Power's Wind Turbine Generators
ACWA Power Co. signed an agreement with the Asian Development Bank (ADB) to receive loans worth $174 million for the development of the former's Bash and Dzankeldy wind power farms in Bukhara region, Uzbekistan.
In a statement, ADB said the deal includes loans worth $40.5 million and $46.5 million for Bash and Dzankeldy plants, respectively, in addition to another loan from the infrastructure fund that is managed by the bank.
In March, ACWA Power signed power purchase agreements (PPAs) worth $2.5 billion with National Electric Grid of Uzbekistan (NEGU), for the development, construction, operation and ownership of three solar photo voltaic (PV) electricity generation facilities, according to data available with Argaam.
