Oil tanks
US crude oil inventories added 1.8 million barrels in the week ended May 17, against expectations for a 2.4-million-barrel pullback, data released by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) showed.
Gasoline stocks, on the other hand, shed nearly 900,000 barrels, while distillate stocks, which include diesel and heating oil, added almost 400,000 barrels.
