GAC approves 26 economic concentration applications in February

The General Authority for Competition (GAC) issued 26 decisions in February 2025 on approval requests for economic concentration applications.

 

Acquisitions accounted for 73% of these requests, followed by joint ventures (19%) and mergers (8%), GAC said in a statement.

 

It added that the decisions included one conditional approval for an economic concentration deal between the National Company for Glass Industries (Zoujaj) and Saudi Arabian Glass Co. Ltd. (SAGCO).

The remaining 25 decisions were non-objections, GAC noted.
