Russia urges Israel to halt strikes on Iran’s Bushehr nuclear plant

Russia’s Foreign Ministry called on Israel to immediately stop airstrikes targeting Iran’s Bushehr nuclear power plant, where Russian specialists are currently working.

 

Bushehr is Iran’s only operational nuclear power facility and runs on Russian-supplied fuel.

 

Foreign Ministry spokesperson Maria Zakharova also reiterated Russia’s warning to the United States against military involvement in the Israel-Iran conflict, saying such intervention would have unpredictable and negative consequences, according to Reuters.
