UK withdraws embassy staff from Iran

The United Kingdom temporarily withdrew its diplomatic staff from Iran, citing concerns about the "security situation."

 

The British Foreign Office said in a statement: "Due to the current security situation, we have taken the precautionary measure to temporarily withdraw our UK staff from Iran. Our embassy continues to operate remotely."

 

Earlier this week, the UK announced the withdrawal of family members of its embassy staff in Israel due to the significant risks posed by the conflict between Iran and Israel.
