REGA confirmed that legal proceedings are being initiated against the violators.

Saudi Arabia’s Real Estate General Authority (REGA) detected several violations related to unlicensed off-plan property sales in Riyadh, Jeddah and Makkah.

Its inspection teams detained 25 developers who are engaged in selling off-plan real estate units and collecting buyer payments without securing the necessary permits, in violation of the regulations governing this kind of projects.

REGA indicated that legal proceedings are being initiated against the violators, which encompass the enforcement of statutory penalties, potentially including referral to the Public Prosecution.

It also stressed zero tolerance for practices that undermine market confidence or harm transaction integrity and beneficiary rights.
