The Saudi box office recorded revenues of around SAR 921 million in 2025, marking annual growth of 9%, driven by the sale of 18.8 million tickets.

 

According to the annual report issued by the Saudi Film Commission, the average ticket price reached SAR 49, while 538 films were screened in cinemas. The number of cinemas reached 62, comprising 603 screens, distributed across 10 regions in the Kingdom.

 

Regarding local production, Saudi films generated total revenues of SAR 122.6 million through 11 films, with 2.8 million tickets sold.

The sector has recorded notable growth since 2018, as revenues rose from about SAR 39 million to SAR 920.8 million, and tickets sold increased from 600,000 to 18.8 million in 2025.

As for the distribution of cinema revenues by region, Riyadh topped the list with revenues of SAR 434.4 million and 8 million tickets sold, followed by Makkah with revenues of SAR 241.9 million and around 5.1 million tickets. The Eastern Province came third, recording SAR 143.4 million and 3.2 million tickets sold.
