Jabal Omar says will petition against ZATCA order to pay SAR 357 mln for 2012-18

Jabal Omar Development Co. received on Jan. 23 an order issued by Zakat, Tax and Customs Authority (ZATCA) to execute the Appeal Committee for Zakat and Tax Violations and Disputes’ decision for the years 2012–2018, at a total value of SAR 357 million.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company pointed out that, in compliance with the rules and regulations of the General Secretariat of the Zakat, Tax and Customs Committees, Jabal Omar will submit a petition to request the Appeal Committee to reconsider the decision.

The company affirmed that any material developments in this regard will be announced in due course.

According to the company’s financial statements ended on Sept. 30, 2022, the Zakat allocation for the aforesaid years stood at SAR 133 million, the real estate developer added.
