Saudi German Health appoints Nezar Bahabri as CEO

Saudi German Health’s board appointed Nezar Bahabri as CEO

Middle East Healthcare Co. (Saudi German Health) said its board appointed Nezar Bahabri as Chief Executive Officer, effective Jan. 1, 2026, replacing Ahmed Shebl.

The decision, made on Dec. 21, followed the recommendation of the nomination and remuneration committee.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said Shebl's resignation is part of its leadership succession plan. He will serve as a non-executive advisor, with his last day as CEO on Dec. 31.

Bahabri, a national talent, is a physician and consultant in internal medicine and infectious diseases, holding American and Canadian board certifications, as well as a fellowship from the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada. He brings extensive executive and leadership experience in healthcare management, having held multiple leadership positions.

Bahabri joined Saudi German Health in September 2023 as CEO of Medical Education and has served as the Group’s Chief Medical Officer since November 2024, alongside prominent academic and regulatory roles.
