Sipchem CEO Abdullah Alsaadoon resigns, Ibrahim Al-Rushoud takes reins

Sahara International Petrochemical Co.’s (Sipchem) headquarters. Ibrahim Al-Rushoud was appointed as CEO starting from Nov. 1, 2025.


Sahara International Petrochemical Co.’s (Sipchem) board of directors accepted, on Sept. 16, the resignation of CEO Abdullah Alsaadoon, citing personal reasons.

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said that the resignation will be effective from Nov. 1, 2025, when Ibrahim Al-Rushoud will take over immediately as CEO.

 

Al-Rushoud holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from King Fahd University of Petroleum and Minerals. He has 32 years of experience in the petrochemical, oil and gas sectors, including 21 years in executive and strategic management positions. He currently serves as Vice President of Manufacturing & Affiliates President. He has completed several executive and leadership programs from several international educational institutions in the fields of operational excellence, financial strategy, risk management, and governance. In addition, he is a chair and board member in several company boards and board committees, the statement added.

 

According to data available on Argaam, Abdullah Alsaadoon was appointed as Sipchem’s CEO on Jan. 1, 2021.
