×TASI closes flat; Al Rajhi down 2%
Saudi Arabian equities closed flat on Thursday as heavyweight lender Al Rajhi Bank ended its winning streak, while blue chip petrochemicals stocks edged higher.
Tadawul All Share Index (TASI) closed slightly lower at 8,450 points, amid a total turnover of SAR 3.2 billion.
The advance-decline ratio stood at 79-93.
Market Index
Al Rajhi Bank, which had been rising over the past few sessions, slumped 2 percent to SAR 88.4.
Other decliners in the banking sector were: Banque Saudi Fransi (down 0.5 percent at SAR 37) and Arab National Bank (down 0.4 percent at SAR 35.35).
Aldrees Petroleum and Transport Services Co. extended losses from the previous session, falling another 3.2 percent to SAR 27.7.
Dairy firm Almarai was down 3.2 percent at SAR 54.9.

Meanwhile, Nama Chemicals climbed nearly 4 percent to SAR 29.4. Saudi Kayan added 3.6 percent to SAR 16.94.
SABIC edged up 0.2 percent to SAR 129.6. Saudi Aramco confirmed it is in talks with the Kingdom’s sovereign wealth fund to acquire a potential stake in SABIC.
Saudi Research and Marketing Group was the top gainer, going limit up to SAR 106.
