The Dow Jones Industrial Average rose 0.16%, or 79 points, to 48,442. The broader S&P 500 advanced 0.46%, or 31 points, to 6,909, marking a record close, while the Nasdaq Composite gained 0.57%, or 133 points, to 23,561.
Technology shares continued to underpin Wall Street in the second session of the week, with Nvidia climbing 3% to $189.21, while Broadcom jumped 2.30% to $349.32.
In Europe, the STOXX Europe 600 rose 0.34% to 588.73 points, closing at a fresh record amid broad gains across major bourses.
Britain’s FTSE 100 added 0.24% to 9,889 points, Germany’s DAX gained 0.23% to 24,340 points, while France’s CAC 40 slipped 0.21% to 8,103 points.
In Japan, the Nikkei 225 was flat at 50,412 points, while the broader TOPIX rose 0.53% to 3,423 points, closing near its all-time high of 3,434 recorded earlier this month.
In commodities, February Brent crude futures rose 0.50%, or 31 cents, to $62.38 a barrel.
February WTI crude futures gained 0.64%, or 37 cents, to $58.38 a barrel.
Gold futures for February delivery climbed 0.81%, or $36.3, to $4,505.70 an ounce, marking the 51st record close for the precious metal this year.
Meanwhile, official data released on Tuesday showed US economic growth accelerating to 4.3% on an annual basis in the third quarter, up from 3.8% in the second quarter, defying expectations for a slowdown to 3.3%.
