Sipchem resumes operations at Vinyl Acetate Monomer Plant after maintenance

Sahara International Petrochemical Company (Sipchem) has completed its scheduled periodic turnaround maintenance activities for the vinyl acetate monomer plant of the International Vinyl Acetate Company (IVC), an affiliate of Sipchem.

 

Startup activities for the (IVC) plant commenced on Wednesday, July 17, 2019, the company said in a bourse statement.

 

During the scheduled turnaround, the required maintenance works were safely completed, enhancing the reliability of production and allow the IVC plant to achieve its future operational plans, the statement added.

 

The financial impact of this scheduled maintenance will be reflected on the company’s financial results for Q3 2019.

 

The company has taken all necessary precautions to avoid any potential impact on customers, the firm also said.
