Almarai shareholders will adopt electronic voting as of April 1 on the agenda items of its extraordinary general meeting (EGM) that will be held on April 5, the dairy producer said in a bourse filing on Sunday.

The move followed the Capital Market Authority’s (CMA) decision that allows shareholders to participate and vote on meeting agenda items through Tadawulaty system in line with the government efforts to prevent the spread of coronavirus (Covid-19).

In a previous announcement, the company said that shareholders are set to vote on a board recommendation to distribute an 8.5% cash dividend at SAR 0.85 per share, for the fiscal year 2019 on April 5, 2020.
