Saudi Aramco appoints audit committee chair, member

Saudi Aramco’s board of directors appointed on April 14 Lynn Elsenhans, an independent board member and a current member of the audit committee, as the new chairman of the audit committee.

 

Mark A. Weinberger, an independent board member, was also appointed as a member in the audit committee.

 

Weinberger is the former global Chairman and CEO of Ernst & Young. He also held several high-level posts in the public sector in the United States.

 

Currently, Weinberger serves as board director of both Johnson & Johnson and Metlife. He is also a member of several board of trustees, including the United States Council for International Business (USCIB).

 

He obtained a B.A. degree from Emory University (Economics) in 1983, an MBA and JD from Case Western Reserve University in 1987, and an LLM in Taxation from Georgetown University Law Center in 1991.
