Saudization rate in private sector rises to 20.4% in Q1 2020

Saudization rate in private sector rose to 20.37% in the first quarter of 2020 compared to 20.21% during the same period last year, National Labor Observatory (NLO), an affiliate of the Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF), said in a report.

 

The percentage of Saudization in the private sector was recorded at 18.61% in 2018, 16.46% in 2017, 16.79% in 2016, 17.14% in 2015 and 15.63% in 2014, the report pointed out.

 

The number of Saudi employees from the private sector subscribed with the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI) in Q1 2020 stood at 1.712 million, with males representing 66.78% and females accounting for 33.22%, the report added.

 

The Eastern Province came first in Saudization with 24.01%, followed by Riyadh with 20.72%, Makkah at 20.46 %, Madinah at 18.14%, and Asir at 15.98 %.

 

Finance and insurance were the highest economic activities in the level of Saudization at a rate of 83.01%, followed by activities of international organizations at 70.71%, mining and quarries 61.95%, education at 52.86%, and information and communications at 48.81%.
