Saudi Arabia records 4,919 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

The total number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia increased by 4,919 to 141,234 as of Wednesday, June 17, the Ministry of Health announced today.

 

Recoveries reached 2,122, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 91,662, representing 65% of total registered cases.

 

Thirty-nine new death cases were reported, while the death toll hit 1,091.

 

The total number of active cases currently receiving treatment reached 48,481, of which 1,859 are critical.

 

Meanwhile, a total of 2,371 cases were reported in Riyadh, followed by Makkah (282), Jeddah (279), Al Hofuf (273), Madinah (156), Taif (140), Dammam (137), Dhahran (123), Al Khobar (114), and Khamis Mushait (100).

 

A total of 23,484 tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests to 1.17 million.
