Saudi Arabia records 2,779 new COVID-19 cases on Sunday

The total number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia increased by 2,779 to 232,259 as of Sunday, July 12, the Ministry of Health announced today.

 

Recoveries reached 1,742, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 167,138, representing 72% of total registered cases.

 

Forty-two new death cases were reported, while the death toll hit 2,223.

 

The total active cases currently receiving treatment amounted to 62,898 cases, of which 2,245 are critical.

 

In addition, a total of 247 cases were reported in Riyadh, followed by Jeddah (191), Al Hufof (164), Dammam (157), Makkah (157), and Taif (119).

 

A total of 44,429 tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests to 2.27 million.
