Saudi Arabia records 1,389 new COVID-19 cases on Wednesday

The total number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia increased by 1,389 to 282,824 on Wednesday, August 5, the Ministry of Health announced today.

 

Recoveries reached 1,626, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 245,314, representing 87% of total registered cases.

 

Thirty-six new death cases were reported, while the death toll hit 3,020.

 

The total active cases currently receiving treatment amounted to 34,490 cases, of which 1,991 are critical.

 

In addition, a total of 109 cases were reported in Riyadh, Makkah (106), Khamis Mushait (90), and Jazan (53).

 

A total of 52,099 tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests to 3.6 million.
