Saudi Arabia records 1,402 new COVID-19 cases on Thursday

The total number of coronavirus cases in Saudi Arabia increased by 1,402 to 284,226 on Thursday, August 6, the Ministry of Health announced today.

 

Recoveries reached 1,775, bringing the total number of recovered cases to 247,089, representing 87% of total registered cases.

 

Thirty-five new death cases were reported, while the death toll hit 3,055.

 

The total active cases currently receiving treatment amounted to 34,082 cases, of which 1,992 are critical.

 

In addition, a total of 249 cases were reported in Makkah, Eastern Province (243), Riyadh (203), Aseer (199), and Qassim (128).

 

A total of 55,566 tests were conducted today, bringing the total number of tests to 3.64 million.
