Saudi Arabia records 987 new COVID-19 cases on Saturday

Saudi Arabia recorded 987 new COVID-19 cases today, Aug. 29 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 313,911, the Ministry of Health said.

 

Recoveries reached 1,038, raising the total number of recovered cases to 288,441

(92% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 27 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 3,840.

 

Active cases totaled 21,630, of which 1,555 cases are critical.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 69 each, followed by Tabuk (58), Jeddah (51), and Riyadh (48).

 

The Kingdom conducted 52,008 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 5.03 million.
