Saudi Arabia records 898 new COVID-19 cases on Tuesday

Saudi Arabia recorded 898 new COVID-19 cases today, Sept. 1 bringing the total number of confirmed cases to 316,670, the Ministry of Health said.

 

Recoveries reached 718, raising the total number of recovered cases to 291,514(92% of total COVID-19 cases).

 

The Kingdom reported 32 new deaths, with the death toll standing at 3,929.

 

Active cases totaled 21,227, of which 1,519 cases are critical.

 

Makkah reported the highest number of COVID-19 cases at 81, followed by Jeddah (72), Madinah (50), and Hufuf and Riyadh (46).

 

The Kingdom conducted 49,989 new tests, bringing up the total number of tests to 5.16 million.
