Future Investment Initiative conference 2021 kicks off in Riyadh

Future Investment Initiative conference

Public Investment Fund (PIF) governor Yasir Al-Rumayyan inaugurated today, Jan. 27, the fourth edition of the Future Investment Initiative.

 

The conference is being held this year in King Abdul Aziz International Conference Center, Riyadh, along with virtual participation.

 

This year's edition, themed "Neo-Renaissance", will have more than 140 keynote speakers.

 

In his inaugural speech, Al-Rumayyan said the world is seeing unprecedented opportunities and a new economic renaissance, adding that the COVID-19 crisis changed the concept of economy globally.

 

The pandemic initially severely impacted the world economies and equity markets that began to rebound strongly by the end of 2020, he indicated.

 

Al-Rumayyan also pointed out that PIF's strategy includes investing in capital markets and new projects, thus creating more investment opportunities and jobs.
