Ministry of Health says 99% of COVID-19 critical cases ‘unvaccinated’

Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Health said that 99% of COVID-19 critical cases did not receive the vaccine during the period from Dec. 28, 2020 to June 7, 2021.

 

Some new strains are more dangerous for the 12-18 age group, the ministry said in a tweet, stressing the need for receiving the vaccine, especially as studies proved the vaccine is safe and effective for this age group.

 

According to the data compiled by Argaam, Saudi Arabia has administered 18.03 million COVID-19 vaccine doses to date.
