Alujain Holding Corp. announced that the propylene and polypropylene complex of its subsidiary National Petrochemical Industrial Co. (NATPET) will shut down for scheduled maintenance.

This is in accordance with the industrial standards of shutdown-related routine and preventive maintenance programs, the firm said in a statement to Tadawul.

The maintenance work will help improve the production efficiency, plant reliability and achieve future operational plans.

The mechanical maintenance work is scheduled to start from Jan. 17 until Feb. 6.

Alujain noted that such shutdown for periodic maintenance should not be considered as an opportunity loss as it is planned in advance in accordance with industrial norms and practices.

The financial impact has been taken into account when preparing 2022 budget in terms of the quantity of production as well as expected revenues, the company added.

Furthermore, all necessary precautions have been taken to avoid any impact on the company's obligations to its customers.

Any other developments will be announced in due course.

NATPAT is a 75.37%-owned subsidiary of Alujain Holding, according to Argaam's data.
