Saudi Arabia holds sufficient food supplies and there are no concerns regarding food scarcity amid the Russian invasion of Ukraine, Al-Eqtisadiah newspaper reported, citing Mansour Al Mushaiti, Deputy Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture

 

The Kingdom maintains a food security strategy, in addition to a clear framework of the local production and Saudi foreign investments, Al Mushaiti indicated, adding that the strategy was approved and implemented during the Russian-Ukrainian conflict.

 

The Saudi Food Security Committee, headed by the Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture, is continually monitoring the supply chains of food commodities across the Kingdom, he noted.
