Tourism Development Fund provides SAR 1 bln support to over 50 SMEs projects

Tourism Development Fund (TDF) provided SAR 1 billion in support to more than 50 medium and small projects, Saudi Press Agency (SPA) reported, citing Minister of Tourism Ahmed Al Khateeb.

 

Al Khateeb said the number of companies in the sector has increased to 777 since the ministry was established.

 

During his meeting with a group of tour operators in the Kingdom, during the ministry's second virtual monthly meeting, Al Khateeb encouraged small business owners to submit serious feasibility studies to obtain the necessary support in order to provide highly efficient tourism services.

 

The ministry will continue to ensure employment and training for Saudis in the tourism sector.

 

On the other hand, he indicated that the ministry is preparing a bundle of strategies for Umrah, the development of Taif city, and winter season, in addition to the current efforts to keep pace with the World Cup.
