The Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources licensed more 803 new factories in the first 10 months of 2022 with total investments of SAR 21.9 billion.
As many as 939 factories commenced production during the same period with nearly SAR 26.7 billion investments. The industrial sector created more than 39,000 job opportunities, of which 19,700 were provided for Saudis.
Total investments in the industrial sector reached SAR 1.374 trillion by the end of October, while the number of factories stood at 10,788.
The ministry added that the total number of valid mining licenses reached 2,164, including 1,358 licenses for building materials quarries, 565 detection licenses, 173 exploitation licenses, 36 reconnaissance licenses and 32 surplus ore licenses.
