Alkhorayef Water Chairman resigns, Abdulaziz Alkhorayef takes over

Alkhorayef Water and Power Technologies Co.’s (AWPT) Chairman Mohammed Ibrahim Alkhorayef resigned from the post on Feb. 12, citing personal reasons, according to a statement to Tadawul.

The board of directors approved the resignation on Feb. 13, effective immediately, it added.

The board also appointed Abdulaziz Abdulrahman Alkhorayef as Chairman and Fahd bin Muhammad Alkhorayef as Vice-Chairman, effective Feb. 13.

Meanwhile, Othman bin Yahya Al-Najdi was named as a board member until the end of the current board term.

Al-Najdi holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (Department of Aeronautical Engineering) and a Master’s degree in Thermal Engineering and Mechanical Powers from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah.

He holds a PhD in Sustainable Energy Engineering from the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, along with many other academic and professional qualifications. He is the General Manager of Sustainable Energy and Water Technologies at Alkhorayef Group.

These appointments are subject to the approval of the upcoming general meeting, the statement added.
