BinDawood Holding says court postpones hearing against Danube to April 3

BinDawood Holding Co. said a court hearing on an appeal filed by Arab Dalla Co. against Danube Company for Foodstuffs & Commodities was postponed to April 3.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the decision came as it attended on March 13 a session before Jeddah Commercial Appeals Court to continue deliberations in a case filed by Arab Dalla against BinDawood Holding’s subsidiary Danube.

 

The company confirmed the strength of its legal position in the case based on the confirmation of its external lawyer.

 

In January 2023, BinDawood Holding announced the issuance of an appealed judicial decision by Jeddah Commercial Appeals Court, in favor of Danube, according to data compiled by Argaam.

 

In January 2022, the Supreme Court rendered the case brought by Arab Dalla Co. against Danube as inadmissible, according to data compiled by Argaam.   

 

Jeddah Commercial Appeals Court ruled in the case brought by Arab Dalla pertaining to its claim of compensation amounting to SAR 124.12 million plus legal fees of SAR 300,000 as inadmissible.   

 

In February 2021, Arab Dalla filed a lawsuit against Danube seeking a compensation for patent infringement.
