Saudi Arabia's exports of chemical industry and related products reached nearly SAR 7.04 billion in January 2023, marking a year-on-year (YoY) decrease of 6%.
Compared to December 2022, exports of chemical products fell by SAR 1.08 billion, or 13%.
Exports of chemicals represented 31% of total non-oil exports in January, amounting to SAR 22.98 billion, as shown in the following table:

India topped the list of countries importing chemical products from Saudi Arabia by nearly SAR 1.6 billion and 22% of the total value of exports of chemical products in January. China and the United States followed at 17% and 8%, respectively, as indicated in the table below:

On the other hand, the Kingdom's imports of chemical and industry-related products amounted to SAR 6.03 billion during the month, up by 9% YoY.
Compared to December 2022, imports of chemical and industry-related products in January 2023 edged up by SAR 387.9 million, or 7%.
Imports of chemical and industry-related products during January accounted for 9% of the total imports amounting to SAR 66.57 billion.
