TGA sponsors lease of first 10 EVs from Lucid to Theeb Rent a Car

The Transport General Authority (TGA) sponsored on July 18 the ceremony of leasing the first 10 electric vehicles (EVs) from Lucid to Theeb Rent a Car Co. at the company's headquarters in Riyadh.

The EVs will be added for the first time to the company's fleet of vehicles that will be available to customers starting this month, the TGA tweeted.

The initiative is one of the innovative and clean solutions that help provide new opportunities to achieve environmental sustainability, improve the quality of life, promote the use of clean energy, and encourage the use of EVs as an environmentally friendly option, the TGA said.

The move encourages the use of clean energy and the reduction of carbon emissions, which enhances preserving the environment.

This comes as part of the authority's initiatives to support the objectives of the National Transport Strategy, the Authority added.
