Prices of 79 Saudi goods, services decline in June

Prices of 79 goods and services in Saudi Arabia dropped year-on-year (YoY) in June 2023, while prices of 89 out of 169 goods and services rose, official data issued by the General Authority for Statistics (GASTAT) showed.

For the total of 91 food products, local tomatoes saw the biggest drop of 27% YoY, while yoghurt prices reported the steepest increase of 33.33%.

Meanwhile, prices of three construction materials increased last month, while 35 declined.

African teak wood prices rose 3.19%, while the prices of 8mm national reinforcing iron fell the most by 32%.

Eight fodder and livestock prices increased in June, while five others declined YoY.

In the clothes category, prices of seven items rose, while three others declined in June YoY.

Prices of all miscellaneous personal products and services rose in June.

Under the tobacco categories, Marlboro cigarettes registered a price decline last month YoY.
