Equipment House says subsidiary wins appeal in NUPCO case

Scientific and Medical Equipment House Co. (Equipment House) announced that it has obtained a certified and executed copy of the ruling issued by the Fourth Appellate Circuit of Riyadh Commercial Court in favor of its wholly owned subsidiary, Roaa Al Hymaya Co. (Protecta Vision), in a lawsuit filed against National Unified Procurement Co. (NUPCO).   

 

The Fourth Appellate Circuit issued the final judgement, ordering NUPCO to pay SAR 60.57 million to Roaa Al Hymaya, in addition to SAR 135,000 as expert fees and SAR 500,000 as legal fees, the company said in a statement to Tadawul.  

 

The ruling has been submitted to the execution court, the company said, adding that the expected completion date of the process cannot be determined at present.  

 

The relevant financial impact will be announced later upon the execution of the court judgement.  

 

Equipment House announced that a preliminary ruling was issued, on Aug. 13, by Riyadh’s Commercial Court, 13th Circuit, in favor of Protecta Vision, in the lawsuit filed against NUPCO, Argaam reported.
