Oil tanks
US oil inventories fell by 2.35 million barrels during the week ended Dec. 8, latest data from the American Petroleum Institute (API) showed.
Gasoline stocks increased by 5.8 million barrels last week, while distillate stocks—including diesel and heating oil—rose by approximately 300,000 barrels.
Meanwhile, Brent crude for February delivery fell by 3.65%, or $2.79, to close on Dec. 12 at $73.24 per barrel—the lowest level since June 27.
WTI crude for January delivery fell by 3.8%, or $2.71, to $68.61 per barrel.
