US natural gas inventories rose by 76 billion cubic feet (bcf) in the week ended Oct. 11, falling short of the anticipated 80-bcf rise.
Total natural gas stocks reached 3.70 trillion cubic feet (tcf), up 3%, or approximately 107 bcf, compared to the same period last year, according to data released today, Oct. 17, by the US Energy Information Administration (EIA).
Additionally, inventories are 4.6%, or around 163 bcf, above the five-year average (2019-2023) of 3.54 tcf.
