Arab Sea says MDA awarded project cancelled

Arab Sea Information System Co. received a decision on Nov. 14 from the General Secretariat of the Committees for Government Tenders and Purchases to cancel the tender for the contract awarded to the company by Al Madinah Region Development Authority (MDA) for managed IT services.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company explained that the cancellation was due to the inability to rectify procedural violations of the system’s regulations, following a grievance from a competitor regarding any decision made by the government entity before or after the contract award.

In September, Arab Sea announced the award of the IT services contract with MDA, valued at SAR 13.8 million, including VAT.
