A.B.G. is a subsidiary of BontexGeo, one of the major European manufacturers of geotextile fabrics and geotechnical products.
Under the partnership, Alujain will benefit from a range of advanced products and technical expertise from A.B.G., covering solutions from water drainage systems to erosion control and soil stabilization
technologies. This will enable Alujain to expand its portfolio with high-value technical products.
The partnership is expected to contribute to achieving the manufacturing and sustainable infrastructure goals outlined in Saudi Vision 2030, which encourages local innovation and maximizes value creation, the statement added.
Geosynthetic materials help reduce construction costs and the carbon footprint of projects. They also often lower maintenance costs and lead to longer-lasting infrastructure.
The agreement was made under the sponsorship and support of the National Industrial Development Center (NIDC), an extension of the agreement signed between Alujain and NIDC on Aug. 24, 2023. The pact supported Alujain’s expansion plans for strategic polypropylene compounds, geosynthetics, and its research and development center.
Alujain is currently assessing the expected financial impact of the partnership, which will be announced later, the statement noted.
