Bank loans to public, private sectors rise 15% to SAR 3.14T in February

Saudi bank loans granted to non-financial government institutions and private sectors rose 15% to SAR 3.14 trillion by the end of February, compared to SAR 2.73 trillion in the same month a year earlier, according to data issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

Bank loans to the private sector increased by 14% year-on-year (YoY) to SAR 2.93 trillion for the same month, data showed.

 

Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial government institutions jumped 37% YoY to about SAR 214.8 billion by the end of February.
