Cabinet approves amendment to idle land fees regulation

The Saudi Cabinet approved amending the idle land fees regulation, during its session held in Jeddah today, April 29, chaired by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman.

 

Cabinet members also greenlit the updated organizational structure and guide for the Ministry of Investment.

 

They also nodded to changing the name of the “Saudi Association of Internal Auditors” to the “Saudi Authority of Internal Auditors”. Additionally, powers to issue licenses for the internal auditing profession were transferred from the Ministry of Commerce to the newly-named authority.

 

The Cabinet also approved a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between Riyadh Municipality and the Government of Seoul City in Korea, in a bid to foster bilateral cooperation in various areas related to intercity management and operations.

 

Further, a host country agreement between the Saudi government and the International Criminal Police Organization (INTERPOL) was also granted the Cabinet’s go-ahead. The agreement pertains to the establishment of a regional INTERPOL office for the Middle East and North Africa to be based in Saudi Arabia.
