The Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture (MEWA) inaugurated a poultry cluster project, implemented by a national company, in Al-Qunfudhah Governorate.

The project aims to enhance food security and support the local economy, with a production capacity exceeding 51 million birds annually. It also includes a model slaughterhouse with a capacity of up to 70 million birds per year.

The project is expected to create around 500 job opportunities, the Saudi Press Agency reported.

This initiative is part of the ministry's efforts to develop the agricultural sector and strengthen partnerships with the private sector, contributing to the achievement of self-sufficiency.
