The Saudi Cabinet, during its session chaired today by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, approved granting the Ministry of Municipalities and Housing the authority to sell residential units in the ministry's projects to non-subsidy beneficiaries, subject to regulations set by the ministry in conjunction with relevant authorities.

The Cabinet also approved several agenda items, including the National Strategy Governance Model, state-run news agency SPA reported.

The Crown Prince directed the relevant authorities to work with the utmost efficiency and excellence in implementing security, preventive, and organizational preparations to serve pilgrims in Makkah, Madinah, the Holy Sites, and the Kingdom's ports. This includes continuing to facilitate the arrival of pilgrims from their countries through the Makkah Road Initiative.

The Cabinet reviewed the remarkable improvement in the Kingdom's economic indicators; the higher levels of investment, and increased participation of the private sector in development, as well as the integrated efforts between government sectors to maximize the use of national resources.

It confirmed that non-oil exports' record-breaking performance in 2024 and their ongoing upward trend represent the quickening pace of diversifying revenue streams and leveraging global opportunities and shifts to create new gains in accordance with the Kingdom's Vision 2030 goals.

Furthermore, the Cabinet praised the notable and continuous advancements in digital services in critical sectors. As it contributed to the Kingdom's leadership among the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region for the third consecutive time in the 2024 Government Electronic and Mobile Services Maturity Index, issued by the United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia.

The Cabinet approved a declaration of intent between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources of the Kingdom and the French Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Industry for joint cooperation in critical minerals.

It also authorized the Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources—or his deputy—to negotiate with the US side regarding a draft memorandum of cooperation in the field of mining and mineral resources between the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources and the US Department of Energy.
