Saudi expat remittances in March hit highest since 2016 at SAR 15.5B

Remittances by expatriates in Saudi Arabia rose by 30% year-on-year (YoY) to around SAR 15.5 billion in March 2025, according to data released by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Compared to February 2025, remittances grew 21%, or about SAR 2.7 billion.

 

Accordingly, March remittances marked the highest monthly level since June 2016, when remittances amounted to SAR 15.8 billion—the highest value on record, data compiled with SAMA showed.
