Nama Chemicals resumes post-maintenance ops at epoxy, Hassad plants

Nama Chemicals Co. completed the scheduled maintenance at its epoxy and Hassad project plants, operated by Jubail Chemical Industries Co. (JANA), with both facilities resuming operations today, May 8.

 

In a statement to Tadawul, the company said the financial impact of the scheduled shutdown will appear in its Q2 2025 results.

During the maintenance period, the scope of the work covered replacing chemical catalysts and completing other planned works as per schedule.

 

These efforts are set to positively impact the plants’ operational efficiency, enhance their reliability, and reduce affiliated costs, in line with the company’s future business plans.

 

According to data available with Argaam, Nama Chemicals had previously announced the periodic shutdown of both facilities, starting April 14, 2025, for an expected duration of 24 days.
