Loans extended by Saudi banks and financial institutions to the private sector exceeded SAR 3 trillion by the end of April 2025, according to the monthly bulletin issued by the Saudi Central Bank (SAMA).

 

Private sector loans amounted to SAR 3.01 trillion, a 15% increase compared to the same period in 2024.

 
Meanwhile, loans granted to non-financial government institutions reached approximately SAR 218.2 billion at the end of April 2025, a 38% increase year-on-year (YoY).
 

Total loans extended by Saudi banks to both the private sector and non-financial government institutions rose by 17% to SAR 3.23 trillion by the end of April 2025, compared to SAR 2.77 trillion during the same period in 2024.
