In a statement on Tadawul, the company said the full financial impact of the project will reflect on its results starting from the second quarter of the 2025.

Bahri noted that prolonged extreme weather conditions in the Red Sea during the latter part of 2024 led to a delay in transporting and anchoring the third barge at its permanent site prior to the start of operations.

According to data compiled by Argaam, Bahri signed an agreement in December 2019 with Saline Water Conversion Corporation (SWCC) to supply desalinated water from the mobile floating plants to the authority’s reservoirs, at a total cost of SAR 760 million.
