An Israeli drone struck the Fajr Jam refinery’s onshore section of phase 14 of Iran’s South Pars gas field, triggering a massive explosion and fire at the site in southern Iran.

The attack resulted in the suspension of daily gas production of 12 million cubic meters (m³) as efforts continue to contain the fire and secure the damaged facility in the coastal city of Kangan, according to media reports.

Sources indicated that the targeted phase was undergoing development work, including the drilling of 35 new wells aimed at boosting production.
