Gulf General Cooperative Insurance Co.’s board of directors approved on June 15 the appointment of Anuj Agarwal as Chief Executive Officer (CEO).

According to a statement on Tadawul, the company obtained the Insurance Authority’s (IA) no-objection for the appointment on May 7.

 

Agarwal has over 30 years of experience in the insurance sector across multiple countries, including 24 years with Allianz Group. He held several senior leadership positions, including CEO and board member of Allianz Saudi Fransi, and Managing Director and CEO of Bajaj Allianz Life Insurance in India. Agarwal also has extensive experience as a Chief Financial Officer (CFO).

 

He holds a Master’s degree in management studies with a specialization in finance, and a Bachelor’s degree in engineering with a specialization in electronics and communications.

 

According to Argaam data, Gulf General announced in May the resignation of its CEO, Khalid Allagany, for personal reasons.
