Shareholders of Umm Al-Qura Cement Co. approved the board’s recommendation to withhold dividends for 2024, during the ordinary general meeting (OGM) held on June 16, according to a statement to Tadawul.

Shareholders, meanwhile, denied approval for discharging board members from liability for the same year.

The board was authorized to distribute interim dividends on a semi-annual or quarterly basis for 2025.

The cement producer’s board had previously recommended withholding cash dividends for 2024 in order to strengthen the company’s financial position, according to Argaam data.

The company’s last cash dividend distribution was at 2.5%, or SAR 0.25 per share, for H2 2021.
